About Aurora

Built by an indie developer, for indie developers.

Aurora is created by Michael Willer, an independent app developer who wanted a clearer and more affordable way to understand App Store visibility, performance and revenue on Mac.

Why I built Aurora

I manage my own apps on Apple's App Store. Keyword research lived in one place, ranking checks in another, and first-party analytics and revenue inside App Store Connect reports. Many established ASO platforms are designed for growth teams and enterprise budgets rather than an individual developer working beside Xcode.

I built Aurora to bring that daily workflow into one native macOS app: keyword rankings, opportunity discovery, competitor context, ratings, App Store Connect analytics, revenue and realtime purchase events.

How Aurora approaches ASO data

Aurora distinguishes observable public App Store signals from first-party account data. Keyword demand and opportunity scores are directional models, not claims of exact search volume. Analytics and revenue dashboards use reports obtained from the developer's own App Store Connect account.

The goal is not to imitate an enterprise intelligence platform. It is to give indie Apple developers useful evidence, honest limitations and a focused native workflow at an accessible price.

About the content on this website

Guides are written or reviewed by Michael. Product comparisons disclose Aurora's involvement, link to the products being discussed and identify where another tool is a stronger choice. Pricing and capabilities are dated because software changes.
